Microsoft has recently announced that the company will be launching the latest release of its developer platform, Visual Studio 2019 on April 2, 2019.
Microsoft is also planning a day-long, virtual event for the launch of Visual Studio 2019 on the same day, April 2. According to the Visual Studio 2019 launch page, the company plans to highlight how Visual Studio 2019 will improve developer productivity and introduce the new AI features.
Microsoft first mentioned Visual Studio 2019 back in June of 2018, along with its plan for a 20019 release with a commitment to making it faster, more reliable, better team collaboration, easier to use and easier to get started with. The first public preview of Visual Studio 2019 was released in December 2018, Preview 2 was release back in January 2019; and Preview 3 last February 13, 2019.
Visual Studio 2019 will include Microsoft’s Visual Studio Live Share coding-collaboration service and it will also feature a new start window to help users get coding faster, the new version also includes Visual Studio IntelliCode AI assistance; support for .NET Core 3.0 projects, WinForms and WPF support, improved Python virtual and conda support, improved search capabilities, and overall performance improvements.

Microsoft promises that attendees for the Visual Studio 2019 launch could be among the first to test the product, and Microsoft could also start distributing VS 2019 on April 2.
