The league approached Appetiser seeking a solution for their existing digital platforms, specifically a partner capable of enhancing the fan experience through their NBL and NBL1 apps.
The NBL is a prominent name in basketball, with over 1 million fans attending games each season and an estimated annual revenue of $28.5M. Appetiser took on the challenge of addressing existing issues with the already live apps and embarked on a project for this globally renowned sporting brand.
Our clear mission was to enhance every aspect of the project. Despite the inherited challenges, Appetiser swiftly took full development ownership within three weeks, implementing a structured process and facilitating a seamless handover.
Over the course of two months, we released two updates and integrated new features and bug fixes to enhance user experience. Proactive communication and agile support ensured smooth collaboration with NBL’s internal backend development team, streamlining the development and testing processes.
Since the project’s updates, app store ratings have been steadily improving. With a commitment to ongoing improvement and innovation, both NBL and Appetiser are poised to enhance the fan experience further with a revamp of the app for increased performance and efficiency updates.
