What are the costs associated with each part of the app development process?

At this stage, it’s not possible to give a detailed, full cost breakdown, just an outline. Details will be clearer closer to the start date, after a ‘payment milestone plan’ is confirmed and as the idea develops.

Its important to understand that premium quality apps come at a price. Developers, designers, and marketers all collaborate together to guide your apps progress. It is possible to get an app made for less, only to see later cost balloon as the standards needed to be successful just aren’t there.

Some pricing factors include:

App intricacy – Do you want users to log in and create profiles? Buy and sell through the app? The more complex the different elements, the higher the cost will be
Android vs IOS vs Web – Web and mobile together cost more, with each platform for the app requiring developers with different skills and code language expertise.
Future costs and updates – Bugs may need fixing or technical updates implementing as operating systems evolve.

What are your development and communication processes like?

Effective ‘two way’ communication channels are vital to a successful project. We encourage keeping open channels with regular meetings and leaning on other tools such as workshops, sharing project management software tools and regular emails.

Our design and development process follows an agile system that has two parts; design and development.

Design phase – This is where the collaboration begins, and the sharing and workshopping of your ideas occur. Involved in this process will be a designer and a product strategist who can help guide the plan with these ideas and knowledge. Once the roadmap is set we get started on designs. This will include both low fidelity and high fidelity wireframes as well as user interface design and logos resulting in an interactive prototype that you can use to understand your product’s viability fully.
Development phase – Once we complete the groundwork, the development will begin until the app is complete.

We always advise a minimum viable product (MVP) as an initial target. This way, you’ll get an interactive prototype that conveys your apps quality to potential investors and also breaks up the financial commitments of app development.

Does my contract include app store submissions and maintenance post-launch?

You are not locked into any maintenance agreements! Since we build native mobile apps, there’s less of a requirement for maintenance as other hybrid technologies. Many of our clients choose to jump onto a continuous improvement retainer, where we are always optimising and enhancing the apps. But it’s optional!

Will I own the mobile app?

As the customer and financier of a project, you have rights to the product, and you’ll own all of the intellectual property behind what we develop for you. The IP stays yours to apply to any future projects if you see fit.
