Scam Alert

Appetiser is aware that are scammers targeting job seekers, often commencing with a text message or WhatsApp message, which claim to come from Appetiser or another company (but which may then link back to the Appetiser website or to a fake Appetiser domain).

The most recent text message and WhatsApp message scam involves targeting people with the fake job title of “App Growth Specialist” and ask you to review existing apps via WhatsApp for high fees for only 40 minutes of work. Such text messages and WhatsApp messages were not sent with the authority or knowledge of Appetiser, and we have no association or connection with the sender of these messages.

We have reported this scam to the ACCC.

If you believe that you have received a suspicious text message, email or WhatsApp message from Appetiser, you should take any or all of the following steps:

• block or delete the email, text message or social media message;
• contact Appetiser by telephone on (03) 9034 9053 or by email at [email protected] to seek confirmation whether the email, text or message is legitimate; and/or
• report the scam to the ACCC using the following link (https://www.scamwatch.gov.au/).
